Refurbishment, including Decent Homes projects
We undertake major refurbishments including window/door replacement, re-wiring, plumbing, central heating and the installation and replacement of kitchens and bathrooms under the Decent Homes initiative. Last year we installed over 2,000 kitchen and bathroom packages. Working in someone's home requires sensitivity and a high level of customer care. Our team of specially trained Resident Liaison Officers are on hand to ensure works are carried out with the minimum of disruption and that each resident's needs are taken into consideration. The experience we have gained in successfully delivering Decent Homes contracts and other similar works across London means that we can undertake major refurbishment schemes with confidence, knowing that we have the systems in place to consistently deliver on time and within budget. Pilot Homes We can prepare a pilot home to ensure that the proposed installation method works in practice, or to modify it as necessary. The pilot home can highlight many of the concerns that are inherent in kitchen and bathroom programmes such as asbestos identification, extent of plastering and making good, extent of electrical works, kitchen unit design and client/resident requirements. It also enables an installation quality to be agreed. |
